Costa Rica Travel : Tomatoe War

In a small community named Trojas de Sarchi in the province of Alajuela is having it’s its annual Tomatoe war. Thousands of people come to this attraction every year in February. Sarchi is located Naranjo and Grecia, northwest or San Jose

People of all ages and sizes participate. They were light clothing play a similar game as “dodge ball” , but with tomatoes. Only the best tomatoes are used in the game. There isn’t a loser or winner in the game. The game is over once there are no more tomatoes.

The fair continue up until February.
